Trust Interpretation (USA) & Estate Inventory.
A client’s brother lived and passed away in the United States. The client needed assistance with preparing the estate inventory in Finland, interpreting the will and trust, and guidance on how to proceed when the brother’s assets were placed under the trust’s management. The client received the necessary documents, help with their interpretation, and advice on dealing with the Finnish tax authorities.

Trust Interpretation (UK).
A client required support in interpreting a UK trust and will, and advice on how to deal with the Finnish tax authorities when the trustee took control of the assets. A conditional clause in the will postponed Finnish inheritance taxation, and the client was able to prepare the required documentation and clarifications.

Prenuptial Agreement and Will.
A Finnish client married to a foreign spouse in Finland sought assistance in drafting a prenuptial agreement and will. The documents were prepared in both Finnish and English, ensuring that both spouses could fully understand their content. The will also took into account the spouse’s children from a previous marriage.

A client needed help with divorce proceedings, the division of marital property, and redeeming the jointly owned home. The couple had lived in Finland but were residing abroad at the time of the divorce. Assets were located both in Finland and abroad. The process was successfully completed with mutual understanding, resulting in one spouse redeeming the family home while the other received a cash settlement.

A client living in Finland wanted to purchase a summer cottage and required help drafting the purchase agreement, communicating with the agent, and interpreting official property documents. The client had previously attempted the purchase without success, but with expert assistance the transaction was completed smoothly.

A foreign client residing in Finland needed support when purchasing a summer cottage. In addition to drafting the legal documents, assistance was provided in assessing the condition of the buildings, building rights and permits, as well as price evaluation and negotiations. Eventually, the process concluded successfully and the purchase agreements were signed with the broker.

A client living abroad sought advice regarding their elderly father who lived alone in Finland. Guidance was provided on managing the father’s property, preparing a power of attorney for guardianship, and arranging support for the father’s daily life. In the end, help was obtained through a formal concern report to the authorities, although the power of attorney could not be executed due to the father’s opposition.
